The semi-final tournament of the Continental Cup in beach volleyball (women) is being held. During the matches of the ½ final we will see the following teams: Poland vs. Greece and Czech Republic vs. Italy.

The Beach Volleyball Continental Cup (Men)
Bartosz Łosiak with Piotr Kantor, and Michał Kądzioła with Jakub Szałankiewicz won their matches. Poland took the lead at the match against Estonia 2:0. The winner will promote to the final of the Continental Cup tournament.

Volleyball World Championships at Wawel
The sport-entertainment hall in Czyżyny will be the 2014 World Championships’ sport hall for the senior men’s volleyball tournament. On Thursday, the contrach between the President of Kraków city, Jacek Majchrowski, and President of the Polish Volleyball Federation, Mirosław Przedpełski. The volleyball World Championships in Poland will be organized for the first time – 24 national teams will participate in the tournament. The host cities for the matches are: Kraków, Łódź, Katowice, Gdańsk - Sopot, Wrocław and Bydgoszcz.

WL: Poles after the first trainings, Brazil much weakened
Brazilin stars Giba and Murillo will not perform during the first World League weekend. Since Friday to Sunday the host national team of the country will play in Toronto against Poland, Canada and Finland.

Polish team unfortunately did not manage to win during the qualification tournament in Ankara and promote to the Olympic Games. After four matches won, the white-and-reds finally loose with Turkey. Now our team will have to face the following challenges.

Today we will know the semifinalists of the Olympic Games qualification tournament held in Sofia
After a third day of a senior men’s qualification tournament to the Olympic Games in London, we found out that Finland goes back home. The team lead by new coach of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Daniel Castellani, performed very well during the first match with Italy. In a tie-break the Finns had 11:8 advantage, but soon they lost the match 2:3. It was the beginning of the end for the Suomi volleyball team.

Today the film titled ‘Nad życie’ (free transl.: More than life) enters the cinemas
Agata Mróz-Olszewska has been one of the most talented volleyball players in Poland. She has been representing our country, at the international arena, for many times. Twice she won the European Championship title (2003 and 2005). While playing with Stal Bielsko-Biała she won the Championship of Poland and with Gruppo Murcia 2002 the Championship of Spain.
